NeuronSyntrX

Your work, in one calm place.

Tasks, notes, calendar, projects and files in a native Mac app, with Neuron, an AI assistant that can run entirely on your Mac.

Apple Silicon, macOS 13 or later · The web app is a lighter version (what's left out).
NeuronSyntrX is invite-only for now: you need an invitation to create an account.

The NeuronSyntrX dashboard in the dark Glass style: top-priority tasks, tasks in progress, projects with progress bars, today's calendar, recent notes and files.

Every page

Everything you're working on, connected.

Tasks know their project, notes link to each other, the calendar shows your meetings beside your work blocks. Six pages, one sidebar, one keyboard shortcut each.

⌘1 Dashboard

Your day at a glance.

Build the dashboard from the widgets you want. Press Edit, add a widget to an empty place and drag it where it suits you. Pick from thirteen: status and the morning briefing, top priority, in progress, recent tasks, filtered tasks, pinned items, recent notes, a scratchpad, projects, files, the calendar, a clock and the AI assistant.

⌘2 Tasks

Add a task however suits you.

Type it the way you'd say it. “Send the launch report Friday 3pm !high #work” becomes a task with its date, time, priority and tag. @project, ~30m and “every Monday” work too.

Or fill in the details. Press ⌘N anywhere for the New task window: priority, due and start dates, a work block on your calendar, repeats, project, tags, a linked note, files and subtasks, all in one place.

You can also add tasks from Quick Capture, the ⌘K palette or Neuron. See them as a list or a board, in your own order.

The New task window: a title and description, then priority, due date, work block, repeat, project, tags, note, files and subtasks, with Add task at the bottom.

⌘3 Notes

Notes that hold real work.

Headings, tables, checklists, code and images, with / commands and [[ links between notes. Folders and tags keep them tidy, version history keeps every earlier text, and any note exports to PDF, Markdown or Word.

The Notes page: a list of notes grouped by date beside a creative brief with headings, a bulleted list and a coloured status table.

⌘4 Calendar

Meetings and tasks, side by side.

Day, week or month, with your meetings, due tasks and work blocks together. Connect Apple Calendar or any calendar link, and join a call from the meeting bar when it starts.

The calendar's week view with meetings, all-day items and work blocks, and a list of today's meetings and due tasks on the right.

⌘5 Projects

Plan it on a timeline.

Each project has its own tasks, notes, files and timeline, plus a short AI summary of where it stands. Drag dates on the timeline, and see at once when a project is behind.

A project's timeline: tasks as bars and milestones across the days of November.

⌘6 Files

Files where the work is.

Attach files to tasks and projects and find them all in one place, synced across your devices, or point the app at a folder on your Mac. Preview images, PDFs and documents, or open Quick Look with the space bar.

The Files page: files grouped by project, with a moodboard image open in the preview panel.

⌘, Settings

Set it up exactly your way.

Settings put you in control of the details: how the app looks, when it reminds you, which AI it uses and where your files and backups go.

  • Appearance Style, theme, light or dark, wording, your own themes
  • Notifications Task alerts, the meeting join bar, work-block reminders, sounds
  • AI Provider, local model, morning briefing, work hours, cloud on or off
  • Quick Capture Turn it on, pick its keyboard shortcut
  • Task Cleanup Clear finished tasks after a day, two weeks or a year, or never
  • Backups A folder, a schedule and a password to encrypt them

Also Date & Time, Calendar, Tags, Templates, Device Sync, File Storage, Export & Import, Updates and Privacy.

⌘7 Neuron AI

An assistant that knows your work.

Ask Neuron what matters today, or have it add, move or finish tasks, write notes and plan your day. It asks before big changes, and every change it makes can be undone.

Recorded on a Mac with the bundled Qwen 3.5 9B model. The thinking time is sped up.

Runs on your Mac

Download a local model (Qwen, Gemma or Ministral) in Settings. No API costs, private, and it works offline.

Or bring your own key

Use Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT or Google Gemini with your own API key, billed by the provider.

Quick AI, anywhere

Press ⌘A on any page to ask Neuron something without leaving it.

Morning briefing

A short summary of your day on the dashboard, from your tasks, meetings and notes.

Dictation

Talk instead of typing. Speech is turned into text on your Mac.

Images

Make an image from a few words, on your Mac or with Nano Banana or GPT Image.

Quick Capture

Catch it before it's gone.

A one-line bar you open with a shortcut from any app, even when NeuronSyntrX is only in the menu bar. Dates, #tags, !priority, @project, durations and repeats are understood as you type.

⌘K for everything

Search every task, note, project and file, jump to any page, run a command or type a new task, without touching the mouse.

Interface styles

Three looks. Make it yours.

Switch the whole app between three styles, each with its own themes, in light or dark. Or start from any theme and make your own.

The Tasks board in Glass, dark: translucent dark panels with soft rounded corners.

Glass · native macOS glass, the default, in dark or light, or Auto to follow your Mac. Themes: Clear, Graphite, Sage, Rose and Ocean.

On your iPhone, soon.

  • Tasks, Notes, Calendar and Projects, built for iOS
  • Changes appear on your Mac in a moment

App Store release coming

Private by design

Your work stays yours.

Locked when you're away

Unlock with Touch ID, a PIN or your password.

AI without the cloud

With a local model, nothing you ask Neuron leaves your Mac.

Encrypted end to end

Device Sync shares your API keys and calendar links between devices. The server only ever stores ciphertext.

Encrypted backups

Scheduled backups of your data, encrypted, on your Mac.

Signed and notarized

Every Mac release is signed and checked by Apple, and updates itself.

Only you see your data

Every row and file is tied to your account and checked on the server, on every request.

Or open it in any browser.

The same account and the same data at app.neuronsyntrx.com, on any computer: dashboard, tasks, notes, projects, cloud files and settings.

What the web app leaves out

A browser can't do everything a Mac app can, so the web app is a lighter version:

  • Local AI. No local models, dictation or image generation. Neuron works with a cloud key only (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google).
  • Apple Calendar. Calendar links only, and no meeting join bar or work-block reminders.
  • Quick Capture, backups and automatic updates.
  • Local-folder files. Cloud files work as usual.
  • Keys stay per browser. API keys and calendar links are kept in each browser, unless Device Sync is on.

For everything, get the Mac app.
